Overview:
This chair was an exploration into my personal artistic and design interests. I wanted to challenge what materials and construction methods could be used to make a piece of furniture. Everything is handmade out of mass-produced everyday objects in an effort to elevate these objects and challenge their preconceived purposes. The final form is also inspired by a soft sculpture version of a dumpster with a net over top.
