Overview:
The Fliptop Stool was designed based on the trend of people living in smaller spaces, from smaller apartments to tiny homes. These spaces often have very small kitchens with inadequate counter space to comfortably prepare meals. Oftentimes, homeowners will custom-build solutions to this problem by having removable or collapsible surfaces that can be used as extra space in the kitchen.
The Fliptop Stool presents a solution to this problem, without the need for any custom-building. The stool can be used in and around the kitchen, and its seat can be flipped to reveal an elevated extra work surface– this surface could potentially be used as extra space to prepare meals or even a small table to eat off of. There is also extra space inside the stool which can be used as storage, something that is especially valued in a tiny living space.
